Ring Reply ("Ring Reply," "we," "us," or "our") provides a missed-call text-back service for small businesses. When a customer calls a business and the business misses the call, Ring Reply can automatically send a follow-up SMS message on behalf of that business.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide, monitor, and improve the Ring Reply service, including:
- Phone numbers: business phone numbers, customer caller phone numbers, and SMS recipient numbers.
- Call metadata: call timestamps, missed-call status, call direction, duration, and related routing details.
- SMS interaction data: message content, delivery status, opt-out requests, replies, timestamps, and carrier or provider metadata.
- Account and support information: contact details and communications you provide when using or requesting support for Ring Reply.
Why we collect information
We use this information to:
- Detect missed calls and send requested automated follow-up SMS messages.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Ring Reply.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain delivery, compliance, audit, billing, and abuse-prevention records.
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and telecom requirements.
Third-party providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Ring Reply. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
- Twilio: telecommunications, phone number, call, and SMS delivery services.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, performance, and traffic protection services.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Ring Reply, meet legal and compliance obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, account status, legal requirements, and operational needs. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
SMS opt-out
SMS recipients can opt out of messages sent through Ring Reply by replying STOP to a message. After an opt-out request is processed, we or the business using Ring Reply will stop sending non-essential SMS messages to that phone number through the service, except where legally permitted or required. Recipients may reply START where supported to opt back in.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no internet, telecommunications, or storage system can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
Your choices
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other assistance related to your information. We may need to verify your request and may retain certain information where required or permitted by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
